Reflection Unit 3

          In Unit 3, we learned about movies. All of us like movies and we can be easy to talk about them. We know the movies have many gence. They are action film, comedy film, horror film, ramance and so on. Of course, we know more details about them from mini-genre presentation. Next, we finished the movie industry that is an interest hunt. We looked through some webs about movies. They are Hollywood, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros, and Tyler Perry Studios. We also answered some questions about them. Tyler Perry is the most important in them so that we read an article“Tyler Perry's Money Machine”. It talks about the typical characteristics of Parry's films and the difference between his characters and mainstream Hollywood depictions of African Americans. Also, it explains the reason why his films sp successful and earn lots of money. We studied many terms about movies such as plot, setting, acting, scence, indie, box office and so on. In addition, we also read“Why We Crave Horror Movies”and studied horror movies. I was interested in crossword puzzle of movie and it was an Aha moment for me. Also, I studied history of cinema. I have seen Rotten Tomatoes that has many movie reviews, but I don't know how to analyze and write reviews. I think it is important and interesting. In a word, I think it is necessary for us to learn movies.
